Programs and Incentives
Depending on income eligibility, you may receive assistance up to $4000 off energy efficiency measures.
Assisted Home Performance
The PSEG Long Island Assisted Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program makes it easy and affordable to make the smart investment in a more energy-efficient home, helping income-eligible homeowners lower their energy bills and live more comfortably all year long.
It provides those who qualify with a discount covering 50% of the cost of eligible energy efficiency improvements up to $4,000 per project for single-family homes.
Participation in the Assisted Home Performance program is based upon your income and the size of your household.
Home Performance Direct Install (only available to homes heated with electricity)
Home Performance Direct Install begins with a comprehensive home energy audit, which will produce a list of recommended, cost-effective improvements you can make to your home. Some upgrades such as LED lighting, duct sealing, and low-flow water devices may be provided to you for free during the initial energy audit visit. Additional efficiency upgrades identified during your audit may qualify for financial incentives.
Residential Energy Affordability Partnership (REAP)
REAP is a program for income-eligible customers designed to help them save energy and lower their electric bills. Participants are also informed of other services that can help them with any special needs.
As part of a home survey a REAP technician will inspect your electric appliances, lighting, heating system, and other electric energy consuming equipment to determine how energy efficient they are. They'll evaluate all the information they gather to help determine how much money you could save on your energy bills.
During the REAP home survey, a REAP technician may install energy-saving measures in your home… at no cost to you! (LED lighting, duct sealing, and low-flow water devices) In fact, all REAP services provided are at no cost to eligible customers. The energy saving measures we choose will depend on individual needs and circumstances. But REAP technicians choose items that will make your home the MOST energy efficient.
