After very careful consideration, Long Island Green homes will begin to provide solar referrals as a pilot program to a few Long Island companies that are registered by New York State to participate in the State’s solar loan program. Our Energy Navigators will also act as an independent technical resource to homeowners trying to learn more about solar and to make purchasing decisions. The Long Island Green Homes Solar Referral program begins with three select companies. Each of which has a stellar reputation and significant experience in providing solar installations on Long Island.
Each of these companies have been selected in the NY State Solarize programs run in conjunction with local municipalities, including Long Island Green Homes partner towns, North Hempstead, Huntington and Southampton. This was a comprehensive investigation of the responding companies, requiring respondents to provide in-depth information concerning:
When a homeowner chooses to participate, their contact information will be referred to these companies so that they can each contact the homeowner to provide competitive bids. The homeowner will also be provided with the full list of solar vendors serving the Long Island region that are approved by New York State to participate in the NY-Sun program.
